Why I Teach
In 1984, my husband was in a serious motorbike accident. Life changed overnight. Years later, I lost my father and felt the weight of grief I didn’t know how to carry.
Yoga, mindfulness, and massage became my lifeline. They gave me peace when life felt unmanageable — and they continue to support me today.
That’s why I became a yoga teacher in 2023: to pass on what helped me. Not just the poses, but the feeling of being more at home in your own body and mind.
A Note from Me
I'm not a gymnast.
I’ve got shoulder injuries, a grumbly lower back, and I’m proudly 60.
But I know how important movement is – especially gentle, mindful movement that respects where your body is now.
Yoga helped me rebuild my strength, move with more ease, and breathe through life’s hard moments. And it can help you too.
Join me in Herne Bay.
You’ll be amazed at what’s possible, even if you start from stiff, sore, or unsure.

My Journey to Yoga ..37 years on the mat
Life hasn’t been straightforward — and maybe yours hasn’t either.
At 20, my husband James had a life-changing motorbike accident that left him without the use of his left arm. At 25, I lost my Dad to Legionnaires Disease after 16 months in hospital — he was only 56.
Redundancy, grief, the challenges of motherhood, and later a shoulder surgery forced me to give up massage therapy — a career I’d built to help James manage his pain.
Then came Covid. Like many others in the beauty and wellbeing world, I lost all my income overnight.
But something unexpected happened: I began to guide free meditation groups — first online, then in-person — to support others through uncertainty. These grew into regular paid sessions, and my confidence slowly returned.
In 2023, I completed my Yoga Teacher Training.
Now, I’m proud to be teaching gentle yoga in Herne Bay, creating safe, supportive spaces for people aged 40–85 to move, breathe, walk in nature, and reconnect with themselves.
I’m not here to impress you with handstands. I’m here to walk alongside you, to show you that strength, resilience, and calm don’t always look dramatic — they grow quietly, one breath and one stretch at a time.
